Difference between John14:14 and John 16:23
Our Father “gives”, Jesus “does”!

On the other hand, when you pray according to John 16:23, you are approaching your Heavenly Father and making requests in Jesus Christ's name. Here, your focus is on receiving something from God. You may ask for total deliverance, inner peace, salvation for your child, financial freedom, or any other blessing you seek. In this case, your reliance is on God to provide and grant these things to you through Jesus Christ.
The key point to remember is that whether you are asking Jesus to act on your behalf or asking God to bless you, the ultimate focus should always be directed towards God in prayer. It is important to align your prayers with the specific scripture that corresponds to your request, declaring to God that His Word promises these things. For instance, you might say, "According to John 14:14, I ask you to do this..." or "Based on John 16:23, I ask you to give me..."
In essence, your prayer should reflect your trust in God's Word and your firm belief that He will fulfill His promises as you seek His intervention or blessings.
